My entire life I always felt the most Joy in my heart surrounded by family, especially at special events. Birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, basically every gathering to celebrate a significant milestone a family member is celebrating. As I approach retirement, I have chosen JOY as my inspiration word. I want to seek joy in everything I do. When Lauren and I were discussing the opportunity to start an event rental business, it connected so many dots for my retirement plan. What better way to focus on Joy, than to help others during their significant moments. My role at WP is more behind the scenes, but I do take part in setting up events. And I must say the events we have been blessed to serve thus far, have not fallen short in moments of Joy. Seeing a bride’s face light up when she sees her ideas brought to life or totally surprised by trusting WP to create it, that look of Joy on their faces will continue to be my drive in this business. If I am asked “what is your vision or purpose in the event rental business?”, I would reply “you can count on the fact that White Peacock Rentals will always do our best to help you create beautiful moments that foster everlasting memories!”
It started with a vision I had 10+ years ago that encompassed multiple things. Being a hair stylist by trade, the first one that made sense was opening the salon. I’m a creative and visionary and I don’t like having my hands in one thing. I would have a bunch of degrees and jobs if I had the margin. Hosting and celebrating the people I love is one of my favorite past times. Which has led to me hosting many events for friends, family, and my salon team over the years. However, I knew one day the vision was for it to be more. As Michelle and I’s relationship grew, we found we have a mutual love for shopping, creating beautiful events, decorating and the shared gift of serving/hospitality. After one summer when we both stumbled upon (at two separate times) the most beautiful White Peacock Chairs – one old and one new. We knew this was the moment and the name we wanted to grow our newfound passion! This passion has grown our adventures and new hobbies to check out every Home Goods and thrift shop we find when we travel. You’ll find items from all over the United States and beyond that we have in our warehouse to be used. Some old and some new, some even borrowed at times! Items from my late grandmother and more from our families. We know not all mother and daughter in law duos have the relationship we have. However, we hope that our love for each other and for serving others will be felt by each of you who work with us!
We do this as a passion to fully engage in elevating the simplest of occasion and seek to bring joy and satisfaction to our clients lives!
